About Me

This is the hardest part of anything for me. Telling you about myself, I'm just an ordinary girl after all.

First I'm a wife, to a wonderful husband (what else would I say, hmm). He may or may not be mentioned on here. He is one of the many great things in my life and thankfully supports all of my many interests. Secondly I'm a mother, all together we have 4 boys. All grown, all with families of their own now. They were a handful over the years but I wouldn't change having them for anything!

My passions right now, are genealogy and quilting. I am relatively new to both but loving every minute of the learning process.

Background information, that's what most people want to know. I live now only about 5 miles from the house where I grew up. In fact, except for 2 years (within the last five), I have live within a 10 mile radius my whole life. I worked full time while my boys were growing up and held the same job for 13 years until an accident 4 years ago that caused a TBI (traumatic brain injury, for those who don't know) and led to me being let go because I could not return to work. Long story short, I have good days and bad days, migraine headaches, short term memory problems, vertigo issues, and deal with depression on a daily basis. Whew, sounds icky. But as I said there are good days and I plan to share them here.

Hopefully I haven't scared you off and you will enjoy my posts. I'm a relative newbie with it all, blogging included, so join me and let's see what all we can learn!
